Cosmetic Fillers

Along with Botox and Dysport, the new generation of injectable fillers has revolutionized the way we address the aging process.  Available in a variety of formulations, these bio-compatible fillers offer tremendous versatility for restoring youthful volume and contouring the face.

Today’s facial fillers are longer lasting and are often comprised of substances found naturally in the human body, such as the hylauronic acid fillers Restylane, Perlane and Juvederm, or the calcium based Radiesse.

A helpful metaphor for understanding the different types of fillers is to think of them as peanut butter and jelly. Peanut butter has a thicker consistency and is well suited for adding volume and sculpting areas of the face (contouring the cheeks, chin or nose) whereas jelly is lighter and more malleable making it a perfect choice for filling and smoothing lines and wrinkles.
